How does the inevitable prepare us for future interruptions?
Extractions of resources from the earth have caused an uptick in natural disasters. The earth is becoming more and more depleted and the consequences of these rifts are causing unsurmounting damage. By collaging recordings of earthquake interrupting daily life, recordings which were initially made as a way to record something else: a gospel, a band practice, a school assembly, a recording studio, sounds of music and chatter can be heard before tremors are felt, halting everyday life as the ground shakes from below. The earthquake shakes and rumbles the ground from under us, forcing us to pay attention to the planet and consider our implications to its shifts.
